I had this Part # run at local merc dealer 17-979330T36 ( swivel pin ) and said NLA , WTF ????????????? any help ?

NLA......Mercs Change.:rolleyes: Buy a 4 stroke.:p If ya not too bitty I might have good used. But All merc lower splines are Shot...... so I glue mine in place. They last for years.:thumbsup: Or weld em.......

When I worked at a dealership North of Seattle I learned of the guys at Sea-Way Marine

They have a (bad?) habit of buying up ALL NLA parts when the new book comes out, then mark up the price depending on how many they have left, usually start at double til they get down to the last few, then the prices really go up.

What you going to do, if you really WANT the part.

They had a complete water pump kit for an old Merc 'Dock-Crasher'

Another of my customers ended up paying triple, a $400 I/O drive coupler ended up costing him $1200, without it he would have had to repower the boat.
