Who makes the little fishing boat with pad bottom in SC, low country area?

I can't remember the name/manuf, but I heard of some guys in the SC, low country area that had some pretty basic fishing boats running 90hp yammies. THe boats had a small pad bottom and ran some pretty good speeds. Anybody had one, know of anybody and what speeds they were getting? thanks

i'm familiar with the customkamo boats, it wasn't that one. It might be the other one you are talking about. I'm wanting something to put my 90 yammie on and i think i heard about some of the guys there with the fishing boats getting some good speeds with the 90's on them.

Fast craft is not built like they were , they changed the style of the boat, but I think Mike Owens might still build you a bug buster,and the old Falcon 14 ft is built in Conway again I heard, they were being built near Columbia S,C. Jeff

It has a 2001 50 yammi (4stroker) on it now, A few hours ago it had like 15hrs left if I can recall and the bid was at 3k...

I've already mentioned Larry Davis and his OFFICIAL record.

When I worked for Velocity they were trying hard to set the A class offshore record with a 22' Velocity, monster H.P. small block and Blackhawk drive. Best the boat would do was 96 mph. And you are telling me this boat would pass the Velocity with a 3 cyl engine.

David Dumas helped me get into boat racing. I think you remember him? He had a 18' VX boat with an OMC V-6 racing engine ran 106 mph. I'll call him up and tell him about the great progress that has been made in boating since a 14' fishing boat running on 3 cylinders will now run about the same speed.

I don't care what you bolt to the back of it the hull is not aero or hydrodynamic capable of that speed.

Get real...and get a gps/speedo that works correctly.

I have seen Mitch's video of the Fast Craft with the Merc. (Hardee enterprises express) Running a little Ally with I think a V6 200 Merc. and the ally was halved tracked.<O:p</O:p
The funny thing is that you can hear Mitch's boat patting the gas playing with the ally when he went by.<O:p</O:p
The ally turned in after the fast craft went by, he did not even finish the race loaded up with his head down and left.

MItch, I would love to get one of my FX10 Supervaders down to you to set up with that 40 Merc. I bet it would fly. Last one I made has a 35 Merc on it with a 6" CMC trim/tilt setback. Does 45. The boat isn't light, it's around 300 lbs. I bet with your motor, it would crack at least 60. I do have the Yellow/Black one in stock. How fast do you think your 40 will push her?

SWEET LITTLE BOAT :thumbsup: NEED A BOTTOM PIC HARD TO GUESS A SPEED FROM LOOK IN AT A PIC You can make it run just as fast as i can . Make one around 200lbs and bolt a 50 yamaha on it . long and slimmer seem to work better for the upper speeds as yu know ---luckily i started out with something that was ideal to start with. made it a lot easyer

My buddy has the first one we made with a old 70 Merc on it. Does upper 60's. $hit prop on it though. I'll see if I can find a pic of the bottom on the boards here. The pics are on the Little Boats thread. It's over a hundred pages long. Will take awhile. I have this shot for now. I know there is one of the hull upside down I have to find. As you can see in the shot, nice pad, perfectly straight bottom and inverted chines. I took a GW Invader, changed the bottom getting over 5 MPH over the old bottom with a 25 HP Merc
