Simon's Intake Question

I have a 1996 250 EFI (fresh rebuild) and was wondering about the big bore down draft Simon's intake over the 4 hole OEM. I've already had the ECU's reflashed by Eric.

I don't want a tempermental intake like the MAD EFI intake I had on another motor.

I'm looking for an intake that will flow more but yet behave like an OEM motor, good idle, no stalling between gear shifts etc..................

Money is tight as we all know and I'd spend the money but only for an improvement, not a step backwards. I still need a motor that thinks it's a stocker some of the time...................LOL

The Simon Intake will be perfect for you. I have both Mad EFI and Simon Intakes. Once I installed the Simon Intakes I nexer went back to the Mad's. The Simon Intake makes awesome power in all ranges, it's much better on fuel and idle quality is as good as stock.:thumbsup:

Thanks for the info, appreciated it very much. I did talk to Eric finally and the only thing I have concerns with now is the fit. I have the Opti lowers and according to Eric, some of the front latch would need to be cut away, making it useless......no front cowl latch....:eek::eek:...I'm not real keen on that idea.

I'd love to see some pics of the intake installed in the same lower cowl as I have..................
