Shaft seals in my helm are leaking.
Anyone know where I can get a seal kit for the Capilano 1250?

:iagree:Then it gets all over the floor making it slippery so you can fall on your ass then gets to bilge pump, gets sticky, jams pump on, kills battery, boat fills with water and sinks or pump jams off, boat fills with water and sinks. So me thinks more like :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: http://forums.screamandfly.com/forums/images/icons/icon13.gifhttp://forums.screamandfly.com/forums/images/icons/icon13.gifhttp://forums.screamandfly.com/forums/images/icons/icon13.gif:icon_bs::icon_bs::icon_bs::leaving:
Oh well I'ts a boat.
Damn that sucks! Has anyone changed the seals out? How hard is it to bleed the lines after? I will probably change the braided lines on the ram at the same time. Thanks in advance!

Most here believe It's best left to the professionals, send to Teleflex and be done with it. I'm inclined to agree but we don't have anything like that here in Bermuda and I've had a few blows to the head so I'm going to attempt it myself. As for bleeding the system, do it the same as any other Seastar or Teleflex system.
Good luck.
