Anyone know what kind of tunnel this is?

What were some of the specs for this SE class? I am looking for a rebuilder hull for a Stinger.
Thanks,
Jason

it looks like a 74-76 lee craft built by david lee of cullman , alabama

That doesn't look much like a Lee Craft to me unless his smaller boats are a lot different from the old J Sports that he started with. I think it more closely resembles a Broughton.

Could be a Velden....

I loved the SE (Sport E) class. Stock 75 OMC's, ran about 80 mph. I think the boats were about 15' in length.

The SST60 class replaced the Sport E when OMC quit making the 75's.

My guess would be a Broughton or a Velden from the look of the cowlings. The Toth Bros also built some SE boats but I don't remember the cowling. If I had to bet I would say it is a Broughton built by Billy Joe Broughton in Kentucky.

Looks much like a Velden craft to me. But can only tell by the cowlings. There were many "knock-offs" of successful SE boats, so looks aren't always a good way to tell.

What a great class this was!

I was thinking it resembled the longer Velden hulls, but I am unfamiliar with the shorter boats. Thanks for the help so far.
Anybody got a trashed one that needs some love?

Interesting the set back. I don't remember many that had that much until much later when Seebold did it on his V6 rigs. My guess is Broughton as well.
The boats with that much set back were fast in the straights but lousy at turning. They tended to surface and ride the gearcase. When you trimmed down to turn they kept floating until.... can we say snap roll? Most of the Veldens I remember didn't have that much set back due to the rougher conditions they raced Europe in.

I used to have a Broughton SE boat a long time ago. It doesn't look right at that rear of the sponsons and the rear of the cowling to be a Broughton.
