I know a guy in Shrevespote that had a 40 amp wheel that wuz lightned, now who dun it, I dunno, but if Chuck did that, Tom woulda got Chuck to do it...Now, az for 9#s differnce, I would have to thank agin.......I have one that 6Killer lightnend, and it iz approx 4# lighter(cast wheel)....
Other than tha bling factor, U will be juss az good ta find tha flex 40 amp'r like Jay said.....If U gunna be turn'in over 7500, U reely need to go to a smaller, 16 amp set up anyway...JMO

The Jamie Adam's flywheel was made of Alum. Pretty piece a customer of mine with a Pro Max had one , the magnets were epoxied to the rim...
Never knew of Chuck Goodman ( Hydro Dynamics in Benton La ) lightening one made of Cast Iron . I think that the reason you drew a blank from everyone Chris...

The one T-Rex is talking about did not come from Chuck Goodman but was made by someone else. It is aluminim and now belongs to another friend of mine, It has a busted magnet and as far as i know he has no future use for it. I will get him to look at this thread.

I thought Jim Rivers made them too. Or was going to make them. I am pertty sure Boatworks used to have a picture of them on there website.

DAUMMMMMMMMM..........I kin see tha economy iz well in Canada!!!....Remember Obomma iz work'in on a CHANGE south ov tha border!!!.....U Kanookz mussa got one hell ov a stimuluz check!!!.....:D
I think it is a deal.
To have Diamond or Power do an 16 amp lightweight is 650 bucks, plus the cost of the flywheel at say 300 bucks so you have 950 into a light flywheel
It takes 1.2 hp to turn a 16 amp, and 3 to turn the 40 amp to 8600 rpm. You gain bottom end with the 40 and have no battery problems.
