Anyone know where to get one of these? Are they still available from OMC?

I just use a short piece of chain and three fine thread bolts w/ washers. slide one bolt/washer through one end of the chain and affix it to one of the flywheel threaded holes. Then do the same with the other end of the chain.
Lift the chain straight up and find the center of the chain, place the third bolt/washer through the center link and bolt it to the flywheel. Use your cherrypicker and place BOTH loops of chain in the hook. Works great, been doin' it for years.

The OMC lfting ring is the way to go, last thing you need is for one of thoes 5/16" bolts to break as your'e lifting it becuae the load isn't equal on the bolts...... The OMC tool uses the bolts to tightly secure the lifting ring plate to the flywheel. That V-8 weighs a lot and risking it with a monkey rig just isn't worth it. OMC/BRP does still make them, you may be able to find one on e-bay.
