hey i have a late 1990s looper 60 degree block and i was wondering if there are any mods for the motor to get more top end power and low end torq

What horsepower is it? v-4 or v-6?

several things that will make a good difference,cleaning up block castings[these are terrible usually]reeds,compression,give a call,we'll talk,chris,305 394 3354

is a 90 horsepower and its lat 90s like a 98 the block is mint the motor only has about 25 hours when i got the motor last year it only had about 10 hours and i had put about 15 hours on it

the intake side of those motors are realy sloppy. there is alot of cleaning up to do on them and if you can find a set of 60* ficth reed cages they are lots better. also milling the heads will help alot too, but some one familiar doing those heads need to do them bc they need to be cuta special way so the pistons dont hit the heads. they are great little motors i have had 3 of them that we have done those mods to and it realy wakes them up. find a set of 115/175 carbs for it also. good luck.

will 175 carbs work and would those reeds work from a 175

The carbs will work,they are bigger,the 175 reeds are the same,chris

but will it hurt the motor arnt they a little to big

no,they will give a little on top end ,but at the cost of a little bottom end,so it goes

the 175 carbs are the same carbs as the 115 so no problems at all there are only four of them instead of six.

yea i have 175 carb but will the motor run leaner or richer
