I'd like to add a water/head temp gauge to my '91 GT 200.....where can I get a gauge that will work?? I've breifly looked at an automotive style but am pretty sure that wont work.
Any Ideas?

They sell boat ones and it has a little sensor that has a bracket you can bolt on the head. You just need positive, ground and the sensor wire. Piece of cake. Ebay search should net you one for $50 or less

Here you go best sender for marine use. I use two gauges & two senders because each head is independent and runs at different temp your call.Pictures of mine ..

Yep, it's the teleflex brand and comes with bracket and sender. However, the factory Merc sender is correct also. I like them because the temp range is narrower and it's easier to see a smaller change. They are sold as outboard temp gauges. You can see the difference in the gauge scale.
If you're running a stock motor then keep the sender on # 2 cylinder. #2 is fatter and lazier than the others and tends to run a little cooler. Leave your alarm switch on #1 so it can do it's job and warn you if you get complacent about watching the gauges.

I run the 60-210*F AutoMeter gauges on my V8's. Same location in the head...but I only have one sender/gauge per motor. I use the Stb head.
