some guy on ebay has a set of crossflow carbs off of a 81 235, he is stating that they are 1 1/2" bore ,,,, I never heard of this big of size. did they make 'em? or do ya think he is just measering somewhere with a tape measure.
or does it look like it says 1 1/4"?

Not that I know of. I believe the largest were 1 5/16 - 1 3/8 maybe 1 7/16 but Land and Sea and some other companies may have enlarged the bore size to 1 1/2 but I don't remember OMC ever making them as a standard item. Might have as a race accessory though. The bore size is shown in the indented area on the right front side of the housing. if it says 1 1/2 it likely is.

OMC never made 1 1/2 Flow carbs. I would be amazed if they were cast that way. Keep us posted

Land & Sea use to make them. I have a set never tried using them though. Looks like they were just honed out from 1 3/8 carbs.

I believe the 76 200 used those 1 1/4" carbs.
