I have been 69.5 on the gps with that 175. I burnt a piston in that engine so it's getting a 200 power head and lower unit off my other boat. It needs more engine height to go faster.

Yes it is a bow rider. It took me a few months of practice before I could get it wide open. I'm running a 12 inch paralift also. It does make a difference. Mine was re-cored about 6 years ago, and even though the core is still strong, I peeled a big layer of gel coat off of the bottom at the end of last summer. It's under construction now. I also do have my bow covered, don't know if that makes a difference??? Good luck with the restore they're a lot of fun to drive.

Oh yeah clean 235 coming home on sunday for my project. I have some ideas for colors for the boat and interior setup. Do you guys have any experience with the blue or lime green anodized bezels, shifters and other goodies. Probably going blue, some of the colors fade quickly. Blue should hold up let me know if you have had the blue stuff and please keep posting up the yt pics I know there is a few more of them out there!!

Only pic I have available right now. I'll try and find more later.
Valero YT closed bow, 10" Bob's hydraulic jack, 2.5 200 XRi, Bob's coned XR6 case, 28 Hoss, was good for 90.8 GPS last year. Motor was stock with the exception of removing the oil injection, removing the VST and underhood water separator, and putting the fuel filter and pump in the boat.

We should put that motor on my Allison. I should be able to run at least 106 with it... :D

Years ago I used some real heavy cardboard "GayLord Box". Cut it to fit over the open bow and used a bunch of Duct tape to hold it on.
I picked up a couple of MPH and the speed where my hull broke loose was alot lower. Its an easy trial test. Then you can get a custom bow cover made and snap it on and off.
Have fun.

I see in your picture you are running something on your cav. plate. Is that a Bob's stabilizer plate you are running? I was thinking of trying one but I wasn't sure how the YT would like it.

I am not sure the brand of plate, but it's not Bob's. It definitely helps it get up on plane quickly with very little bow rise.
