3.0 gearcase ?????

I just bought a Bullet with a 3.0,225 Opti. Torquemaster. I was told to plug the top 4 water inlet holes on each side and drill the 4 holes in the front of the nose to a bigger size. This way I can raise the engine up 1 inch higher. Any of you guys done this before? I have always ran Sportmasters until this boat. Thanks in advance for the input. :smiletest:

i just usually plug the top four holes. never had a problem running out of water. if you are not running a surface piercing prop like a cleaver, where you have to run it sky high, you should be just fine.
