Doesnt need that much set back but will work. Engine hight? From prop shaft to the bottum of the pad? 3/4" above is a good starting point. Also may want a larger pitch prop for top end but the 26 is great for carrying a load like fuel coolers and passengers.

Start with your prop shaft about even with the bottom of the pad and work your way up till you find that "sweet spot" Some people like to run them real high for top end speed but mine wouldn't carry the bow with a load and overall performance is better with the prop shaft right around even, maybe a tick higher than the pad. With a chopper, you won't need that much setback but it won't hurt the boat's performance. A 28 chopper might be a little better prop than the 26 unless you are planning on running around with a lot of passengers.

I ran my 19' ACTION at slightly below pad, I really liked 4-blade MAZCO props, no steering torque like choppers, boat ran right at 90 mph with a 28p RE-4 MAZCO at 6800 rpm...full interior...low on fuel...miss my ACTION:):):):):):):)195259
