3.0L Question

Can the front half of a 3.0L be changed like the small V-6's? I have a problem with my motor that doesn't look real good and I'm weighing my options. Any input will be appreciated.

Can you add somemore detail to your question, because 2.5L is totally different than 3.0L.......need to be more specific...........

I've taken the front half off of a 2.4L block and pulled the dowells and let it line up on the mains when I had a good block with a hole or cracked front. I've got a problem with my 3.0L front now. Just exploring possibilities.
