A stock 280 with 260 electronics, about how much more HP would that be?

280 AS LONG AS NOTHING WAS CHANGED EXCEPT THE ELEC. The only advantage to the 260 elect is higher rev limiter and the ability to change your air fuel mixture with the ECU wich if done properly according to air conditions can get a few more ponies .You can get the 280 electrics computer rev limit raised too but will still only turn around 8400 with a big prop and maybe 9000-9100 rpms with limiter removed from 280 elects with a drag prop:thumbsup:

Irregardless of 260 electronics, aren't 280's actually closer to 300 HP??

According to my 260 manual, a 260 makes 280 crankshaft hp and 260 propshaft hp... I don't have the 280 manual, but it should be close to 300 at the crankshaft if you figure the same % drivetrain loss...
