I have a 1977 hydrostream ventura II,stock 150 efi merc,and a 10"hyd.jack plate.What kind of MHP should i expect.(ballpark)?

Probably about 18 mph with 10" setback:D

Not sure why anyone would think it needs that much:nonod:

With a 150, a Ventura can run upper 70's, 80 with a real good setup.

In OPC racing trim, back in the late 70's, boat would run 84. Very light setup, but props are better today.

A Bob's convertible works well. It can be installed with 2 1/2" or 5" of setback. 2 1/2" works well, you can go up 1 1/2" below the pad without a low water pickup.

You need to check out the core and transom to be sure it's solid first, if the core is original, it will be wet.

Thanks for the info,it really helps,I'll take some pictures.It's in two halfs now replaceing transom.
