There will be an APBA Drag and Oval race in LaCrosse on July 7th. It's on the Mississippi right near the Hwy. 16 bridge.
There will be two focuses for classes. We're going to run Lake Racer and Pro Gas for sure. But we'll offer the Formula (run what you brung) class. Formula is geared toward those who have a lake or ski boat and would like to try 1/4 mile drag racing without having to go to too much effort and expense.
All you'll need is a 100 mph life vest, a kill switch, trim on the wheel or the floor, and a snell approved helmet. If you don't have a life jacket or helmet, there will probably be somebody who will lend you one.
Come on out and give it a shot. There are several of the guys from Blarney Island that are going. 200s, 225s, 2.5s, etc. NOT all drag motors and wild/crazy stuff.
