Hot Boat/St. John's River/Harris Chain

Other than Silver Glenn and the Palatka Sandbar is there any place where the hot boats gather on the St. John from Palatka North to Jacksonville or the river South of Astor?

Harris Chain of Lakes- anyplace in this area??

Conant and I are on the harris chain, either bar hopping or testing any given weekend. Hell for that matter we'll be out there today!!!!!:cheers:

I have not been to the Harris Chain since I was a kid, my family used to love it there. Are there alot of bars/rest.'s on the lakes?

Ya , There is a Tree Swing ,about half way down this run where alot of people hang out at durring the summer mounths . Also an area on a nice sandy point ,that we stop at queit often . there is a small group of performance boater out ,almost every sunday , when the weather is nice out . Wind isn't really a big factor , on the river . It just limits how hard you want to run your boat . Do a Google Earth search , for Lake Monroe , then just follow the river south/east , and you will see this area pretty clearly .

Where are the good bars to go to? Is there any good sandbar where the boats hang out??

:cheers:5 bars on lk eustis,10 bars on lk dora,3 bars on lk harris and a few on all the different canals

there is an island on lake harris southeast of dead river,:cheers: but no real sand bars
