Getting ready to pull the powerhead off my XR6 to change the mounts. Will actually be changing both the upper and lower mounts. I have the SELOC manual, and guess what, it covers every part of the motor except for the midsection! I would assume that swapping the mounts out is a pretty straightforward, common sense job once the powerhead and lower unit are out of the way. Just wondering if there are any pointers I should be aware of. Any torque specs for the fasteners, other than the powerhead bolts? Do you use sealer on the gaskets or not?

Also want to change the swivel pin bushings while I have it that far apart.

If it is the same as the 2.5 that I had...

Be sure and change the lowers while the uppers are not in place. The bolts for the lowers come in from the rear so the mid has to be leaned back to get them out. If the top mounts are in place the lower's bolt will not come out..
