Thinking about putting together a run on Lake Champlain. Wondering if anyone would be interested in comming up. Lake is 122 miles long and about 6 miles wide at its widest part. Alot to do and see up here. Let me know if anyone is interested and we can work on a date to have it. Thanx.

it is a nice lake. I did the Lake George poker run a few years ago with a 42 Tiger, beautiful lake but the speed limit wasnt very freindly to us. got a ticket in the mail two weeks after the run.. If theres no interest and you wanna come up and see this lake sometime let me know. i can hook you up with a place to park your boat and show you around.

Every lake has their own monsters...and some bays...
Champ - Lake Champlain
Chessie - Chesapeake Bay
Georgie - Lake George
etc, etc.

i woul be game for that, did a wakeboard contest at a state park there a few years ago, it was pretty rough, i guess it would be a good place to test out my new core. never been boating there. i work at a marina at the north end of schroon, if there is any more interest, and a date gets put together, ill bet there are a few people from my area that might be interested also.

I think I'm gonna put something together. Need to figure out a date that works. Thinkin late July. Thinkin a run on fri afternoon for the guys that get in fri, sat radar runs in morning then lunch somewhere and go to a sandbar to hangout for awhile then either the Naked Turtle in Plattsburg Ny or Breakwaters in Burlington Vt. Run back to the ramp Sunday morning so everybody can travel home on Sunday. I can arange slips for people that want to leave there boats in the water.

In the winter I was driving down from Montreal... and I was on the west side of the lake.
I needed to be on the east side. I spotted a car ferry on the map so I thought I'd give it a shot not knowing that the top layer of the lake was basically frozen! Port Kent to Burlington.... I sat in my van as we cut through the ice. Pretty strange cutting across that lake with solid water around you at that time of year! Looks like a great run if you guys can pull it off!

anything happening with this? My Dad has a cottage in Alburg SPrings and i would come down for a day. Great lake if its calm....can be a virtual ocean on a windy day though.
