colors on Mercury Cowlings

I was hoping some of you experts could render a little help with history.

What year did the Mercury 200's come with the Brown decals?

I did a search on here but struck out.

I appreciate any assistance.

84-85, both years looked the same.

would those have been 2.4L engines, correct? wasn't until 90 or 91 before they went to 2.5?

I think 85 it was gray w red stripe if memory serves me right,so 84 it is:thumbsup:

Correct 2.4L, '91 was the crossover to the 2.5L 200.

84 and 85...i hated them too. now i like them. I lost interest in fishin stuff after 1993ish.

Ditto on 1984-1985 and they shure were ugly. Nice new white/burgandys SleekCraft SST20 and UGLY black/brown 200 Merc..
