I took my son to the shootout last weekend. The sight and sounds have him hooked! I think the people that he got to meet also got him interested. Until last weekend, a boat was for fishing:eek:.
Sooo, this weekend we're off to go buy him a speedboat. I think it's it great, but my wife doesn't see it that way! She never had to worry about him in his 39mph boat. She's a mother, she worries!
So, she wants to thank everyone that made last weekend such a blast! Now she has her husband and BOTH sons into speed on the water.
So let's all welcome a new S&F member, CMK27.:thumbsup::cheers:

He's 27, and his current boat is a 14ft. Phiranna, 55 Evinrude. It actually has a pad, and a jackplate. We're going to look at a Hydrostream in Ga. this weekend.

Cool and welcome. Some of my fondest memories are of boating with my dad, it is the one constant that has been in our lives all these years. Your poor wife......she will have MANY headaches from you and the boys :thumbsup:

make sure you buy something light:iagree::iagree: for the 800 ft races
short burst arent quite as dangerous as long drawn out top end attempts

CONGRATS, tell the boss there are worse things in life than going fast on the water, like street racing! :(

He's been brought up on Stream's. I have a Vector and his cousin, CSD23 also runs a Vector. I told him to look for an Action. Better built, and easier to drive. If he buys a Stream then we'll have a father-son project. Both me and his cousin bought Streams that were solid, but 3 out of 3 would be bucking the odds!

Sound like..... Fun! Fun! Fun!
If you have the $, look at an XB2002. Contact Big Tis....he summed it up best when he said "it is a race boat you can fish out of". If you're set on a 'used' Stream, contact John Spaeth.
