Just curious if there has been any word or talk about it?
I went to m.h.b. Winter party and there was a few people asking about it.

It is not official yet, but wanted to get the word so people can make a plan and come join the fun. It doesn't sound like it's going to be a problem, it's just that they like to wait til the last minute to say yea it's a go.

The first one is planned for May21st @ 6 o'clock. Once we get official approval the schedule will be posted. If something changes it will be posted as soon as we know.

Going east on US 12 from I 69 go into Quincy go south on N Ray Quincy rd to wildwood, take a right til it dead ends into parking lot.

There will be a release form that anyone wanting to participate MUST sign and put boat info and MC#'s on.

I have a couple of friends who are looking for a boat to stay on while I'm on the course. The water is a bit too cold to stay in. I'm planning on getting there 6:00 or so, I can take them out there. Is "the Pub" going to the launch or just sit on the sand bar (anyone know)? Thanks! Tom

My boat's not ready for anything yet, and my daughter is due in a couple of weeks.

So, I have the same question as Tom-- Will I have a spot to watch (or shoot) from?
...and can I hitch a ride to sandbar?

For me, this is a 1.5 hour drive from Ann Arbor, then back to the in-laws in Lansing afterward, so it needs to worth the trip!

Sorry, I was out at Warren Dunes swimming in the big lake yesterday. I'm not sure if I'll be around town in two weeks. I've got a 7 week old daughter, so it changes things a bit. I hope to make it out there at some point this year.

The only good photos I ever took at Marble were from the Al Capone island shoreline on one nice occasion when the patrol boats showed up late, after we already started racing. They won't let me shoot from the sunny side of the track. The cops said that "floating or anchored near the shore" constitutes being in the race course (but standing equally close in the water on the opposite side drinking beer does not), and pulled up in the weeds at the island constitutes trespassing (but nobody lives there.) Bringing good camera equipment to Marble is a waste. I'm not allowed to use it, and it only weighs down my boat if I want to race.

All in good fun guys. It is an awesome time, hope to keep seeing new people there that's all. Ken I won't be back at hardy til hot boat prolly. That red & white STV is one of if not the fastest boats i've seen. Your rite about the photo ops. WOW. Like I said I just wonna see people come out it takes quite an effort to make it happen and all the hoops jonny law wants you to jump thru for him. I don't think there is very many places that we can do this, we just want to see more people to make us feel like it's worth it.

There are some incredibly quick jets out there.
Take a trip to Blarneys and there are some quick ones there every week.

At the drags the real fast guys will go from a dead stop on the rope to over 60 mph in the first 125' when they cross the starting line.

The guy with the blown alky Stealth who was at Marble Lake on july 16th has all the parts there to run in the 7's .
His tune is so far off that he is 2 seconds off the mark.

I would like to see Flattie and Yooper make the trip down too with their flatbottoms.

Totally agree Mark, I would love to see them down as well as the Amatos with there boats, we'll see maybe we can get them down. That would be awesome.

I have been looking at the pictures. It looks like lots of fun guys. Are we going to get some racing going on this year up on hardy. I saw some guys over at wixom and secord lakes who say they have some fast boats over this way too i should have told them to stop down to the races.

I'll be at marble Friday and then Houghton Saturday. Come join us, I'm the slow one at 90 mph. It is fun and legal! I was hoping to have the race boat there this week but it's REALLY too slow out of the hole.

I miss coming out there. I have a new daughter, and I can't even afford to register and insure my boat right now. Keep up the good work on pulling the permits and making it happen. Someday it could grow like Blarney's has done. The photos and videos were nice. Keep em coming... :)
