compact vhs conversions

Guys I have some cool video on compact vhs of my cousin doing some mod vp racing from 1987 / 88 at the jacksonville landing ,also some offshore with the don Q rum boat in cape coral , what does it take to download them, they are 8- 10 minutes long so may need to be edited as well . Id love to get them posted up. thanks !
