Can anyone tell me what issues of Family & High Perf boating the 21 Skater project was finished? I'm curious as to the results. Can I view it through a link on this site?

Anyfeed back on the 21 Skater with a single V6 2.5 or 300 Pmax would be appreciated.

Im john from lightning Powerboats, and I build a modified copy of the 21 skater, and have built about 20 of them, you can expect high 80's to low 90's with a 2.5 280 hp and low to mid 90's from a 300x,with the changes we have made to our 21 mini offshore cat,you can expect 3-8 mph more john

That Skater belongs to Mack, I don't know his last name, of upstate NY. He lives near John Tiger. I met him at the Rondak Romp and rode in his boat. It came out really nice, and it ran just under 95 with me in the passenger seat. He claims it breaks 100 when he is solo. The boat rode really nice and flat and soaked up some surprisingly rough waters like nothing. I really liked it. He is running a stock 1998 Pro Max 300 with I think it was like a 32 4 blade cleaver type prop. I have a couple of pictures of it if you want I'll email them to you. I don't think photos are working on the board right now.

I,m running a 21 with with a 300X still trying to find the right prop but it wil run 95 on gps with two people easy. With a 30p Mazco RE 3 BEST #'s so far are 96.4 with two people and 102 by my self with some fuel. I borrowed a 32 merc lab cleaver this past weekend and ran 98.1 with two guys and half fuel but could only turn it 6300 to 6400. Thinking that a 30 lab cleaver might be the answer for the boat it seems to run good with a little more stern lift. My only complaint is that the waters to calm around here.

I wish that was my complaint. I would just have an STV and be done with it.

I hear 4 blade props like hydromotive are the way to go for that setup. I'll try to find out what Mack is running. He's getting the same speed numbers as you with a 98 Pro Max 300. With an X, you shoud do much better. Is your boat all white with a tandem trailer?

I tried a 28 merc offshore cleaver 4 blade hole shot was great but the top end was not there it seemed to have to much stern lift at speed. This boat is yellow and white with a single axle trailer. I am looking for a solid 100 with 2 people and 105 solo. The motor feels very strong at those speeds just looking for the right combo. With this big prop shaft it's tough to find props to try with out going straight to merc.
