View Full Version : lifting ring source?
anyone know somewhere that i can order a couple lifting rings that can overnight them. I need a yamaha v4 and omc v4 (not sure if they are the same as the bigger motors) and time is a little short. I keep borrowing friends but I know they need them so i figured i need to just bite the bullet.
thanks, fish.

I made mine out of damaged/stripped harmonic balancer pullers. just replace the puller bolt with an eye bolt.

if your in a jam bolt a normal puller down to the fly wheel (make sure you have the correct bolts/thread) and run a chain under the puller up to the lift

19 bucks on ebay a couple of years ago. Pulls flywheels also.
thanks guys, I may have to make them. I saw bob's sells the omc, but not the yamaha and I need to do a motor swap; was just hoping I could find someplace that sells both and could get them here asap. Tom, I will try precision, thanks. I also checked ebay, but they are a little more now and i don't have a whole lot of time to get these done.

Yamaha V-4's have a lifting bracket behind the flywheel, mine does.

I have the factory puller from Bombardier. It will pull the flywheel or lift any OMC. The eye is sold separate from the set. I suspect you would just have to buy metric bolts to do the jap motors. Not so sure on speed... I know it isn't the cheapest, but the quality is not lacking.
