Who can build a reliable pair of 300hp+ 92 octane pump gas 1994 3.0 V6 OMC Carb Motors?
Want to stay OMC. Engines are 1994 OMC Perf group 3.0 finger ports.
I know about my Merc power options such as Simonized 300 Promaxes, 300X Optis. etc.
Reliablility is Key. Motors will push a 3200# 30ft V-pad bottom Ofshore boat with correct performance setup.
Do not want to build time bomb drag motors. Been there done that.
Curious if it's possible and what is out there.

Well, I've only had experience with Monty Racing. He built me a pair of V8's that made 383hp and 340ft-lbs at the crank. Pump gas, 140# compression, stock airboxes and mid-bore carbs. Probably some power on the table with open airboxes and big-bores, but mine push a 30' Scarab open fish at about 7000#. So far I have about 30 hours on them with no issues.
There are other OMC builders out there, but Monty is the only I've used personally. http://www.montyracing.com

There are many builders that can do it.
Just for comparison purposes, my carbed 3.0L V6 made 308hp and 290ft-lbs with 120lbs compression at the PROP SHAFT on Jenksam's dyno. Fun fact Sam bought the dyno from monty. I consider them both good friends  but I have only dealt with Sam:D

300 horsepower is not a proplem with the right parts. I have done several of these type engines and been a OMC/BRP dealer since 1968. All machine work is done in house and engines are test run on a fully computorized superflow dyno.

Monty has been good to me. He helped me build my V8 and it has been spot on i put around 40 hours on it this summer.

I have a Monty v8 similar to Keith's and except for fuel problems ( Ethanol crap particles stopping up fuel filter ), its been great. I have about 85 hrs on it. Idles great and makes a lot of power. Motor runs smoother than a stock motor.
