Speed Racer at Lake of the Ozarks

My son works for Performance Boat Brokerage at Lake of the Oxarks and invited me to the first water test of this boat.This boat was the 2006 champ and is being completely redone as a poker run boat. This day it topped out around 90 MPH. With different props and spacers it exeeds 110 MPH.

I remember winning the 2006 World Championships in that boat in Destin Florida! Back in race trim it would run 140MPH!

Only 90 mph?? That has to be a record for the slowest MTI. Even with 525's they run 120-135. That Speed Racer was the race version 39' with 525's. The other 44' pleasure Speedracer had 1550 Sterlings and was much faster.
There must have been something wrong to only go 90 mph. What happened to all the cool graphics?
