Chrome rings or steel?

Can you tell by looking if a ring is for crome or steel?

Check the bore material , you can't run "like" material rings and bore combo.. If its chrome bored used cast iron ring, If its cast iron bore use chrome ring...

The rings for Chrome are black. Rings for steel are usually grey/silver in color.

Thanks i noticed a color difference.I had some rings get mixed up in some parts layin around and wanted to get them seperated and labled.
