I have a sweet baja 186 18' but very light with an inline 6 merc 115hp @ the prop. I have a 17" pitch prop and it launches out of the hole like a bullet but revs wayyy too high 7-8K if I give it wide open, any suggestions for a cleaver/nice stainless prop, say 23" pitch? Recommendations on the Diameter? This is just for running around, no towing on this boat. One to three people max, or me with two girls max :leaving:

Small ear chopper or a trophy might work real well

I didn't know you could rev an inline to 7-8K without blowing it up.

24-26", small ear chopper or even pitch Laser. If you go Trophy, be careful to get the small hub.

Anything over 6,000 sounds a lot faster than it really is ... 7,000 is possible, but 8,000 is not likely

You don't see much damage from running them over 6,000 other than accelerated normal wear. There is no power gain with the additional rpm, max power is in the high 5's
