I have a 1999 procraft that I think that the tach may be set for 3 cyl instead of 4 cyl.. Getting to the back of tach is obstructed and removal would have to remove dash panel... I think I can see the switch but not sure which to move it.. looking at the back, the rectangular set switch appears to be on the upper left, the switch is set in the 2-8 o-clock position, if I move it to the 3-9 0-clock position I think it will be set for 4 cyl position..Help would be appreciated... I think that the tach is a teleflex amega series...
I THINK THAT THE INFO ABOVE IS WRONG I THINK THAT I WAS SEEING THE LIGHT SOCKET

Is the cylinder adj on the lower right and what is the sequence...
Thanks
Mac

I found a wiring diagram at Teleflex Support under FAQs for instruments. The diagram is at:
http://www.downloadingfiles.co.uk/teleflexfiles/gauges/page342.pdf

It shows that for a 4 cyl 2 stroke you use position 4-8, rotating the arrow on the setting switch as shown.

Thanks again for the info... I called Teleflex and got no where with them..The download is exactly what I needed... Being I now know where the adj. screw is I drilled a 1" hole so I could see the adj. and get a screw driver in to make the adjustment...
I talked with 3 marine shops locally and got no where with them either...
Will make a run later and RPM'S
