Qualifier: FrankenMerc 135 scratch build. Not going to race this thing but wouldn't mind seeing it hit the high 6's without straining to hard. The stock head was a 18787 C2. I don't have any heads for it yet. I'm going .030 over on the block and using Vertex pistons. I may remove the casting breaks on the 41 rods to lighten them up a little. No crank yet. I'll probably be running wmh 31's and 4 petal reeds with Chris's reeds on them. I must be able to run 87 (high altitude) 92 (sealevel) pump gas.
What heads should I/can I use. I would like to stay with the 18787 style head, (read that as appearance). I'm looking for options so I can have a wider range of choices when I go hunting.
Thanks to all
Steve

Thank you T-Rex. I'm on the hunt and have a couple of responses back for stock 135/150 heads, (18787 C2). I had been hunting on eBay but sellers there just seem know what they came off of and not much more. I can deal with that on blocks and such but heads and cranks are a diff story.. Gotta get it right or you can throw away a lot of money. I'm stupid but not crazy stupid. I was gonna say insane instead of crazy but I'm pretty sure I'm insane.
Thanks again
Steve

Todd Nimmer from Nimmer Marine came up with a set of 18787 -C4's new old stock.
Thanks to all for reading and thinking for me.
