Drove both cars this fall,my buddy owns them,i drove the 6 and we ran them, they came out together till 3rd gear,it was over for the 6,that zr1 is the king of chevys,he ran it at the track and it turned 11.04 1st round, thats the only run he got in for the day..made the zo6 feel like a ford...I have been around lots of muscle cars but that zr1 is trully the baddest..

fastest car i've in i was in a zo6 with some mods very fast but this summer my friend came over with a car called a noble with a 3.0 champ motor with twin turbos after driving that game over the guy with the zo6 is getting a new zr-1 but i think it doesn't matter when you hit the throttle on the noble it hooks up and goes what blew me away was the noble cost 90,000 and the zr-1 is 115,000

Nice cars...

Have you seen Redline Motorsports - based in Schenectady, NY, they make performance upgrades for Vettes, but are now specializing in 2010 Camaros. you can get an aluminum block 427 in standard or supercharged versions putting out up to 750 hp, sold through a local Chevy dealer with a three year warranty...and capable of sub 11 second 1/4 mile....just written up in Hemmings Muscle Machines...

Here is a ford that might give it a run for the money. 1/4 mile 10.88 @128 w nitto drag radials. 427ci 575 hp Roush racing mota. 2200 pounds. 6 speed t56.
However, the ZRI is king of the hill for out of box performance.

No air. But it has a great heater. Sidepipes under your ass. It is hot in more ways than one.

He didn't let me drive it (i was 18 at the time) but many years ago i went for a ride in a real (1967 427 side oiler) cobra with about a 3:55 rear. Fastest accelarating car i have ever been in. I can't imagine with a set of awesome tires and a 4:10 or even 4:56 rear what the car would have felt like. Very impressive, but man, what a rattling bucket of bolts, definitely not a car that would be fun to drive for 400 miles. I'll take the z06 or zr1 over it.

Mike the guy with the zo6 and zr1 is Donnie Little from the island(fastest non super charged jet boat out there)In the old days he had a 67 mustang with a chevy in it,when all the ford guys would say that thing is bad, whats under the hood, you know what happened then....

I have driven both and the only reason the Z06 stays there till 3rd is lack of traction on the ZR1. There is truly no comparison. But at a sticker of 120K(and you can't buy one for that) it better be bad.

No denying they are bad machines, I'll keep my slow Ford for that kind of coin..... ;)
