Go to User CP. Under settings on the left, click Edit Options. Scroll all the way down.
At Message Editor Interface, click arrow, select the middle one, Standard Editor. Then don't forget under that to hit Save Changes.
Then off youtube, c+p the Embed/Obect link in full..then just past that in a post. Should work. Go and try it here now..

Oddly these extreme jetboating video's always seem to end badly, I dont know why.....:D
It was one of those "knee jerk' attempts at a channel I saw last min and I just didnt have the momentum lol Myles wasnt impressed, it wasnt that fun a push and the water was freekin cold! lol (not long after that he bought a chainsaw winch hahaha)
Oddly the much sketchier looking channel by the grassy bank would have worked but hindsight in jetboating is often veiwed from a stuck boat LOL
The pushbars got a workout!

Thanks for the compliment, I still remember years ago seeing Gregs vid edited to Dream Theater, totally inspired me to make vids
I try to be very selective of the music and "feel" of a song. You gotta like the music cause you end up listening to the song a zillion times during editing lol Im very happy with this one mainly cause I had such a huge slection of clips to chose from, too many actually, I will probably put out 1-2 more from my 09 footage.
Temps out here vary alot but the summers are very pleasant, no humidity etc The biggest difference to the east(im from Toronto) is the water coming out of the mtns is COLD lol
It was a lil colder this day...

Haha I need a disclaimer I think "no rafters or kayakers were injured during the production of this video" lol
The rafters and kayakers on the Upper Red Deer River that day were GREAT! total respect for other river users as long as we were showing them the same. We had to stop at several bottle necks to let them pass. I thought it was hilarious when they decided to try and "ambush me" haha Many of them couldnt belive we had gotten to where we did in a boat. One girl was asking "are you gonna go up THAT?" referring to the rapid at 1:45 which we jump at 2:14ish
Now if we could just teach all the fly fisherman that they dont own the rivers we'd be great. They are a HUGE issue and tend to be extremely self serving and selfish about the rivers
The rapid at 0:46 was actually more intimidating when you see the whole rapid, I believe for rafters its a class 4:)

The more I watch the more questions I have. One more please! What do you do if your boat breaks down and you have to get back across all the shallow water? Especially in the winter! Great video man.

panic!
:D
you can certainly get into big trouble if you boat alone and/or have unreliable equipment and flowing/shallow water can cause huge issues never mind rapids and big rocks. In fact the day on the Upper Red my boat conked out just as we were starting the downstream leg. Didnt figure it out for days but ended up being a loose engine harness(grrrr) Couldnt get the boat to a suitable place to trailer it so we got inventive....
(WARNING: pictures not for those with a weak heart or the fibreglass inclined lol)
This form of boating is different in so many ways than traditional "lake boating". But it can also be tremendously rewarding and fun. There is rarely a dull outing lol

That was my next question...lol...:D
Yea my merc jetdrive actually uses a 2.4 merc powerhead but I would never do any crazy mods to it becuase the key is having it start EVERY time lol
Its rare to boat alone here and you would be amazed at what one does sometimes to "get home" I'd never seen a boat towed 'on plane' till I moved out there but thats pretty common for the shallow water issues you mention. Its freaky to see a boat on plane behind you on a short 15' line(short lines helps lift the towed boat) but you do what you gotta do!
Early in the season I hit a rock shelf I didnt see till the last min and the boat had to have been at 45 degrees or better to the horizontal and the pump cleared the shelf so we were completely airborn. I actually thought we were gonna go over! Of course was I filming at the time, nooooooooo
The girl I was with didnt even beat me either, I was impressed LOL

HAD A BALL..
And I KNEW, that dude running the "raftered helmet riders, the dude doing the .."bucket at ya"...was all part of the "show"!.."Got ya the last bucket!:p)
And.. the seems over turned, red kayak?, seems ya did a good last look back, dude in the the water..seems ya said.."ya OK?"

I had another incident with two kayakers where we sorta had to rescue one of em. She was wicked cold and got seperated from her paddle. You gotta help people on the river cause currents can make life really hard, dangerous and we're often the only ones there who can assist. Go figure it was a fly fisherman on shore who bitched us out in the middle of that ordeal, and I had her and her kayak IN my boat when he did!

We get the same stupid here..Puget Sound. I'm south sound, and see tide swings, of a good daily, TWICE a day, spring is a good .."20 feet", up down tide!
Have an State owned Island across from us.zero tide swing?..no problem.
Tide running? better have some power!.
Seen idiots, rowing there azz off....then get stuck in the tide swirl by the island, and then scream for "help"...."then they learn , the power of water!
On Kayaking....we call them "Ski Fleas'...pop out of nowhere, at 100 mph...

Just a few qusetions
Eagle outlaw boat I take it?
Teflon bottom? if so is it rivited in place? or countersunk screws?
I want to bild one out here I just have never seen one of the (kick grates) is that part of the mercury sport jet setup or does it have to be made. If you could take a picture of it that would be great. I don't wanna copy anyhting I just want to get an idea.
thanks. Dan

Yeap 17 Sport, no UHMW (teflon), QT100 skid plate. Not sure UHMW would be the way to go for this type of boat, altho the red one has the optional nose protection as you can see when it jumps. It does introduce alot of bolt holes which can potentially leak and in fact I think Myles ripped most of his off late in the season during a run.Its not very thick on a 17 and fairly easily damaged.
The steel is a must for this type of boating IMO.
Also no EZ clean grate as the boat has a heavily modified pump and uses a faster race style intake. EZ clean's typically eat some performance , at least the designed as they are now does. Standard Mercury pump mounting also is probably more likely to be damaged as the pump is "outside" the boat. Its inside in this style
