Looks like a............... gearcase killer!

Nothing is harder on a case than a two blade wheel. Must be an old inline chopper.

Hard to say. Need another shot from a different angle. But it looks like a BP gearcase prop.

All of the BP props I've got were solid center hubbed with the splines broached directly into the prop. That doesn't look exactly like a 2 blade inline prop either unless the camera angle is distorting it.

Michigan made some 2 blades also, but they were direct splined also without the insert like the one in the picture.

Looks like it says 14 24 on the face. The BP's were all smaller diameter, 12 or less if I remember.

Like Air Ride said, a side and back view would be helpful. Looks awfully low rake to be anything that I've ever seen that came from Merc.

The wrong number of splines and waaaay too much pitch. Chryslers used 7% overdrive ... less pitch than the same SSM

The prop measures 10 1/2 dia... 3/4 prop shaft....there is a 4 on the hub also not 14..the hub has a rubber insert..?...maybe a michican opc wheel..?

No idea then. I never saw a Michigan blade with an insert, but that doesn't mean they didn't. The diameter is too small for a BP and the pitch too big for one of the smaller motors. The shortshaft 850's had 2.3:1 gear ratios and the 650's had tall ratios, so it's hard to figure what in the Merc line it'd have worked on. Generally the 850's ran the bigger diameters too, but I can't imagine a PRE-XS 650 turning that much pitch with a 1.6 somethin' ratio and the two blades from Merc were dead by the time the 650XS was introduced. Curious to know what it is when you find out.

I'd guess it was originally a 14 x 24 for an in-line which was a common prop. It had the diameter cut down. the center bored and a hub put in for use on 4 cylinder 50 Merc, 2 or 3 cylinder OMC. Probably the 2 cylinder OMC as it would be the only one with enough gear to turn a 24.
