Whats the best oil to use? Is Quicksilver Premium Plus the same as the merc. Premium plus? and should I use any addaitives.

Mercury makes Quicksilver products. My dealer recommends the DFI oil in my 2001 Optimax 225. It has a burnt yellow/brown tint to it. That is all I use now. However, early in its life it got the Premium Plus and Yamalube and ran fine greenish/blue. I am sure someone will chime in as to the difference. DFI oil:thumbsup:

My mistake. Not my first. What are the differences anyway? Is the DFI oil synthetic? I don't even remember DFI oil in 2001. But that is another story.:D
