Yea, the weather makes dealing with the yankees, the ass holes, the illegal aliens who can't speak english, hatians who can't drive worth a ****, the white trash, and the yuppies almost bearable. lol.

There's gotta be a reason we stay here. Don't forget the outrageous price of living here. I coulda bought a mansion in Georgia for what I pay in rent here.

No worries about the saltwater ... I'll flush it out when I get to a garden hose ... plus, I hear the Saltwater gives you an extra few mph! ... maybe I'll break 90 with the stock 200!

Well, I towed the boat 25 hours from home to get it here, almost wrote it off in a snowstorm in Michigan, paid a ****load more tolls for having the trailer ... another 2 hours to run it ain't that bad!! ...

Alva's getting old ... and running by yourself there is pretty lonesome ... Lundy joined me for a rip up the river the one day, but gotta see something new! ... plus I've never boated in Saltwater ... this boat will turn 83 mph consistantly with the stock 200 ... I have to know if the bouyancy of the saltwater REALLY DOES make a difference! ...

Not to mention the oppurtunity to meet fellow Screamandflyers that share my addiction!

btw ... Mapquest says 1 hour 17 minutes ...

ahh i see. had no clue you had already done the alva deal (apparently my reading wasn't so good earlier, lol) Yea it gets boring running by yourself. north of boca grand is a great area, every time I've been to stump pass fishing it seems like there is less marine officers and BS up that way compared to the FMB and pine island area. I usually just dump the boat in at bokeelia, run north across charlotte harbor and behind gaspirillia island... but it would probably be better for you to trailer up there.

Thats where we always are, stump pass/ski ally. Had my fastast day yet, on the way there I hit 80.3, and on the way back, right at the ramp hit 83.4 before the prop blew out. Now it's time for some setup upgrades. Funny how the more beer I drink, the faster my boat goes, and feels! Not funny that when I was leaving the ramp some jack@$$ backed a backhoe out of the driveway and into the side of my truck, then tried to blame it on me, stating that "I should watch out for him while he is working". Luckily the cop had common sense and put the a$$hole in his place. Still got my top speed though, so I'm all SMILES!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A FAST BOAT!

JeffTake your boat over to Dunedin and make the run out to: Honeymoon Island, Caladessi Island, Alcolyte Key, the sponge docks and then maybe take a trip up the Peace River.
You can always run over to the Suwannnee River for a real blast.

Those pics are awesome! ... I can't wait to get out there and run there! ... @JR IN JAX ... I'll check those places out too! ... my goal this vacation is to see as much of Florida by boat that I can ... I figured I'd like the canals around here, but the Merc doesn't like to idle for that long and not foul plugs off ... definitly prefers 6000 rpm! ... See you guiys out there after Christmas! ... Boxing day perhaps? ... Let me know!

JR IN JAX ... Do you have a street name or address I can plug into the GPS for s boat ramp in that area? ...

Same with you CSD23? ... Or PM me if you guys are launching next week at all ... I'm bored today, so I think I might hit up Alva for a few passes ...

There is a boat ramp [5$ fee] at the Best western where we stay. There are 3 of the top 10 beaches within 2-3 miles of the ramp. The area is blast! You can also go to Clearwater Beach, they have some terrific waterfront restaurants/resorts there [try out Shepard's Beach Resort], 5 miles from the ramp.
I don't know how far you want to drive but these are some of Florida's best. You will also be close to the Lake Tarpon Guys who are more than willing to make some fast passes with you.
