Hi,I have a Viking with a Rude 2.6xp,I am looking to switch motas to a Merc Pm 225.I have a RG dual opposed cable steering set up,My question is how to rig it to the Merc Pm 225? I have the Merc dual cable kit (tilt tube/mount/coupler),but I am only able to find instructions for parallell cable install,I dont want to run the cables down one side of the boat and have to make another hole and fill one hole.On the Merc tiller there is only one hole for a link arm. Can I add the tiller extension kit and have two link arms and run the cables opposed as is done with my Rude? I hope I explained this with out confusion. Thanks Jim

You can buy the attaching kit from Allison Boats or some other vendor that sells T&R Marine products.

I checked this out and it looks like maybe I can use thier tiller extension and a additional link arm. I already have the additional tube and mount (Merc).I see some v-kings setup with dual oppesed so I just want to do it properly. Is this how its done or can the Merc tiller ext and a second link arm be used ?
