Ok, I am new to this forum, so if i am posting this in the wrong area i apologize.

I have an old 1976 sidewinder that had a ford 460 in it with a berkley 12jc pump. i recently found a good deal on a semi-built 455 olds... I went ahead and odered the pump rebuild kit for the berkley pump. i went ahead and got an a4 impeller with it (the guy said that the top speed should be 70 or above)... needless to say, i like the idea of 70+:reddevil:

I realize now i may have bitten off more than i can chew on this one. its an aluminum impeller, in case that helps anyone... can i push this? what would it take?

I am completely rebuilding the 460, and have already had it bored .50 over... thats pretty much it... but, should i refresh the 455 olds??? there are so many options out there, i just dont know where to start.. i need opinions..

(i am not a beginner in building engines, just never done a v8 before, only simple honda motors:o)
Thanks guys
