Have a minor ding in the "ridgy" section of an inline cowl. Does anyone know how or who could repair? Thaks in advance Mike

Hi Mike, depends on how sharp the ding or crease is. You could use a narrow roller, like a screen installation tool, to press it from the back side. Kinda like running a tiny english wheel to re stretch the metal. To be honest though I have not had a lot of success getting kinks out. Soft bends will come out.

Take it to one of those Dent Doctor or Dent Tricks franchises and let them do it. They can do AMAZING things with door dings and hail damage, so that shouldn't be any different.

My name is Troy and I'm the founder and owner of Dent Tricks. There is only one Dent Tricks and it is based in Macon and serves all of Middle Georgia. We are not a franchise, nor are we affiliated with one.

If you can contact me on Dent Tricks' Facebook page or via our website at www.DentTricks.com, I'd be happy to look at it.

Thanks for thinking of us.

Cleavor, Thanks for the lead. Where do you buy the carbon dioxide can? Also do you think it will remove the dent in Jerry's head?:D

You can get the can at your local office supply store, used for blowing dust off keyboards etc. By the way Mr. Ragu, did you ever find that inline 6 distributor cap you were looking for?

Daveswaves is correct, any office supply or electronics store will have it. I think you would need a cylinder of it from a welding supply store and a torch to fix Jerry's head though. . .:D

Keep in mind, duster spray now contains a significant dose of Denatonium Benzoate to discourage huffing abuse. It's the most sour, bitter-tasting chmical known to mankind, and that's why they put it in there. It's a real bummer, you can't quick-cool a soda can with it anymore because it will leave the can and your fingers tasting horrible. A little of this residue on a few objects and your hands will ruin your next four meals.

That technique won't help with small dents in cowls anyway, particularly in the grooved parts of an inline wrap-around...
