hello , i pulled lower unit off 2001 merc 225 efi and i need to replace. i measured from were it came apart to top of shaft and have 28". does that mean its a 25 inch shaft unit and how do i know what ratio. it is not the original unit because it has a two piece shaft and the 2001 only came with a one piece so i would like to change it and it has no numbers on it. any help would be appreciated. thank you happy holidays.:thumbsup:
