Helped my buddy re-power his Shadow (Vengeance Racing) this weekend with a 300xs. When we tried to take her out for a test run the boat could bearly get on plane and felt very weak:(. Had a Merc Tech do a diagnostic chk on the motor and everything tested fine on the scan tool.
Through further test we found dead coils on #2 and #6. Swapped coils off my other friend's 225x and she came alive. Anyone else have coil failuers on their Optimax motors?
