Looking and getting a pair of lifelines. The 160 "pleasure jacket" fits the bill and the price is right. I currently am using evinride racing jackets with the leg straps and collar. I have heard great things about the lifeline, but from the pictures the 160 looks real thin and flimsy. I guess I need some reassurance or opinions for those that have them. I do have an old lifeline, but it is HUGE and very bulky. I would continue to use it, but it is just a tad too small.

opinions please...

I'm pretty sure that is the Lifeline that I have. It is a very well built piece without the bulk of the race Lifelines. I'll have to look on their website to make sure. I like mine

is the foam real hard? My old lifeline is so tough, I could probably take a baseball bat to the ribs. It is so uncomfortable, I really don't want to wear it. The evinrude jackets are nice, but the padding isn't firm enough.

Good jackets I have a 160 and not flimsey at all. Call them for sizing I normally wear an XL but the large fits perfect. make sure you tell them you are a S&F member and they will give you a discount

Just pay a little more money and get the Compvest 170. It's suppose to be more safe than the pleasure jacket so why not. The new Compvest's aren't nearly as bulky as the old ones. I love mine. Matter of fact, some people thought my jacket was a pleasure jacket because it's no where near as bulky as the old ones.

I just got my 160 last month , my problem with a ski type jacket was my seats are very tight and you couldn't sit back comfortably , with the 160 it fits perfect and its comfortable but like drew said call them for sizing and a discount.
