There is no Pre-ban anymore, unless you live in one of those states that has their own bans (NY I think is one). FL is good to go. $1100 for an AK variant is way over the top right now, unless it's some limited edition 1-off dealio. Look around on gunbroker.com or gunsamerica.com (the ebays of guns). Most AK variants are going in the $600-$800 range. The ammo at .25/rnd isn't bad, but I'm not familiar with the brand. .45/rnd for the .308 isn't bad at todays' prices.

Thanks for the advice guys,
It was offered to me by a close family member who said, "make me an offer".
He already sold all of his fully automatics [several] to a gun dealer in Miami before he let me know he was closing out his collection.

Its not a bad deal, by pre ban, that means that it was built before the first ban on asault rifles took place. A lot of the pre ban guns are worth more money than the new age guns. You cant go wrong with any of the guns that people have listed on here. It just depends on what you want to do with the gun. A pre ban gun makes for a reliable collectors gun. The newer guns are easier to get parts for.

I as well thought the ammo price is good, I also like the 7.62 stuff, lots of stopping power. As others have stated for a few more $$$ you could really get your hands on something a litter nicer I feel. Good Luck either way !

He flew a SAR helo from the Enterprise for two tours so the Viet Nam era stuff was more important to him than it would be to most.
