Thought you guys might like to have a look at the old 79 flow in its 2002 race trim.
Has run 30 mins on trailer so far, still plenty of breaking in to do but at least its finally running again!!!

Hey Robbie, that's awesome! I think you need to post some pics of the boat too for some of the guys that have not seen it. So they can get some idea of what that monster goes in!

I think it looks much better in naked aluminium, took forever to get all the paint out of all those little recesses on the block.
Doesn't make it go any better but who cares, it looks good.
I'm lucky that I can do all the engineering myself and time is just somthing that slips by while working on the boat. The 1000 other jobs around the place that I should have been doing are still waiting.

Chris

Still using a 149, bored with new pistons, (used Racers specs for pist/bore clearence) didn't F port in the end but did do alot of work to smooth the gas flow in and out of the crankcase, trying to maximise the VE. Trying to get some more HP in the 6500 - 7000 range. Those big numbers 7000 + worry me given that the crank and rods have done so much hard work over the years.
Other than that its much the same as last year.

Brent

I think that there may still be the odd OMC part left, somewhere and yes, ear drums beware. ;) :D

By the way, yes that is the kitchen table the motor is on, well it was once :)

Cheers
