do u get a better comp readin hot r cold do u need wot 2 do so what is a good number 4 a 150 rude it is a 90 bone stock

dont thk so thk you i dont have that on the boat anymore tryin @ sale the motor had @ get a mercury do u get more comp hot r cold

you will a higher reading with a warm engine, however it will not be a huge difference

Hot up motor -pull all plugs- use a known good 12.5 battery- place throttle in wide open position-turn motor over until the meter long longer gains presure- spin over the same amount of time per cylinder. ground plugs - hope this helps Joe Raimondo

It won't make a difference, just as well as opening the throttle won't. What you are looking for is a difference in-between cylinders. Usually over 10% would be considered that you may have a potential problem. More accurate is a leak down test.
Pull the kill switch or ground the plug wires.
