Those of you from this area know this stretch of Route 53 and like me, probably won't be surprised. It starts just south of Higgins Road and goes all the way past Thorndale into the 355 split, with lane changes and all. They added a couple of more clips coming back north afterward too.

Reminds me on my "PRE" Scream and fly days!!!!
Before ScreamandFly ruined me....:p JK
We use to catch I-95 and do the same thang, Roll down to
Miami and back... Bike would run 188mph (computer limited)
But we would Wheeley for miles @ 90-100mph...
And along came boats S&F and by, by, bikes... Probley a good thing...

While I'll give him credit for the talent I'll take some away for stupidity.
Theres a time and place for that and in traffic ona highway isnt one of them.
I was towing my boat to Old saybrook CT last year and had some A hole doing that in front of me.
His a hole buddies were slowing down traffic for him to do it. I was thinking if this Jack ass falls off I'll run him right the f over!!!!.
And he'd deserve it!!
You dont see me out on the streets stopping or slowing traffic in the middle of the day to run my drag car down the highway.

I watched Jeremey McGraff wheelie almost a full lap after winning either the Orlando or Tampa Supercross. That is a lot harder with the whoops and tight berms. He made it look easy.

Needless to say you ride a Jap bike. Your preference would be the other way around if you were on a Harley. :D

That 100+mph wheelies on the highway is a thing of the past. We had a guy here about 5 years ago that went 16 miles on I-94 here in Minneapolis and never once went over 70. He ended up making the news too on a traffic cam.
Nowdays we keep all of our wheelis and stuff to the parking lots. Alot safer for everyone.
Here is a video from a few months back up here. I am there but I was without a running bike all summer so I just had to watch. :(

Guy doing that in Houston traffic, if he fell would be hard to tell the difference in him a Racoon, possium , or large dog... Nothing but a greasy spot left.Nobody would even slow down in rush hour traffic...
thats crazy cool video i always liked that song but man thats a lot risk and trust in equipment thats made to corner on two wheels oil levels and such i guess 4 miles aint to far
you know those stunt riders get paid to do that
Hippie459MN

They make oil pickups that relocate them to the rear of the pan just for the stunt guys. And then we run em about a quart over just to safe. :D
A few of the guys around here have gone big time in the stunt stuff and if I was 19ish again I would go for it but now with a business I cant afford to get hurt anymore so I dont get to crazy now days.

My thoughts on this (nothing personal at all):
1. Wheelies in a straight line - no big deal, though dangerous and foolish. That guy could easily have caused an accident.
2. He appears to be standing on the passenger pegs. That's not a good idea either.
3. Riders like that are the very reason Florida has a law where if they see you so much as lift your front tire off the ground, you get a pretty awesome ticket and possibly your bike impounded. Bravo.
4. Now let's see what he can do on a track against real riders, going around turns. :)

I remember those days it was 24 broken bones, 5 shattered helmets, and a lot of skin ago. ;)
Was with my buddy when he had his leg removed via trailer truck from those escapades too.
Could of been part of why I got into boats. :D

:iagree:I remember, we were stunting down in Stuart, I had a CBR600...
I would run it up to about 85-90 and jump off the back and hold on to the rear seat and (road ski for a few miles) It was fun a hell UNTIL!!!... I was off the back and I could change lanes by leaning from one side to the other, Well I was going from the passing lane to the right lane @ about 50mph when my foot caught the reflector in the middle of the road....:nonod: lost my grip on the back of the seat and Needless to say Asphalt gets REAL HOT when your siding on it (leather lasts about 0.5seconds till it melts into your skin)...Bike went off the side off the road and nose dived into the (otherside) canal... worst part was getting the road outta my, what use to be skin... :reddevil: Glad to be into BOATS FOR SURE!!!!

I used to ride a lot with a bunch of clearwater/largo boys
We used to get on 19 and we would be 5 wide all on the back wheel wish i had pics/video of that. I like standing with my right foot on the passenger peg and left on the front to shift, standing makes a much safer wheelie since you can see where your going while on the balance point and will lower the balance point with your weight farther back
Havent been out in a few weeks  some kind of record! Im usually good for around 1k miles a month. The rear pilot power on the FZ1 is down to the steel belt again, they dont last 3k miles when you repeatedly dump the clutch in second at 12k rpm  may be i will post a video when i burn the old tire off it :reddevil:

I dont know about you but I like to keep my right foot up on that rear brake and the left on the rear passenger peg when doing a stand up wheelie. Not covering the rear brake is not a good practice. Its one thing if your running a rear hand brake but if not I always cover that rear brake cause going over backwards sucks!
Take note just after the 2:00 min mark.

when your good (not me) and can do slow wheelies (wish i could) :iagree:
but i like kicking it into 3rd so the throttle isnt so touchy while on the rear wheel. The kid in the video is doin the same, my FZ1 will come up in 3rd but you have to be doin 80ish and really yanking on it.
Bottom line is anyone can do 40+mph fast wheelies, the slow ones are the hard ones!

None of these raced on the street like the original squid posted was doing. To each their own I suppose though. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't above going on a lonely 2 lane and having fun, but in traffic in the middle of the day, not for me. I guess I'm a hippocrite (sp?)
