will stand the hair on your arms on end! Was just articles about it in all the bike magazines. Current F-1 star Valentino Rossi was there and Kenny offerd him a ride and he said no thanks ;) Amazing how things change with no wheelie control, traction control, anti lock brakes, reat tires, on board telemitry etc, etc.
Interesting too that Kenny said that everyone tells the story of him destroying the competition in that race and he said that wasn't the case. Said it took him ALL RACE to figure out how to make the thing go fast. Went wide and built his own berm before taming the bitch!

quotes from Motorcyclists Aaron Franks after riding the "Beast".

"The look on the mechanic’s face in the first picture says it all: “If anything goes wrong out there, you better pray to God you don’t survive the crash.”

Or maybe they just saw the fear in my eyes. This was a four-cylinder, two-stroke with a light-switch powerband, a 150-mph top speed and no front brake. The bike that famously inspired King Kenny, one of the most fearless racers ever, to quip, “they don’t pay me enough to ride that thing.” A bike that was banned after just three races, because officials were afraid it would kill someone."

Kenny was the king,Harley Davidson cryed and cryed,he said in one story, the bike was geared for 145mph at 10 grand,he looked at the tac and it was 11.500. Said he just didnt get by the Harleys, he blew by them. Those bikes put out 190 hp at the rear.Harleys back then ,probally coudnt break 90HP...

The TZ motor was quite a bit stronger than the Harleys, but not 190 hp. 120-130 horsepower to the back wheel is a realistic guess. Still, as you mention, it was quite a bit more that the best HD could produce then (or now). I can't imagine trying to ride something that powerful with a 1500 rpm powerband. I guess you don't get to be a three-time World Champion without some skill..
