The setup will be done in Ca. by westcoast riggers in my shop..

300xs 20" shaft ( to keep my 6 year warranty :) )
Sea Star Power steering
Stock fuel plus 2 Alum. side tanks totaling almost 60 gallons for long runs.
Smartcraft gages
3 place intercom with ipod and VHF interface to talk boat to boat.
Both back seat and race cowl

It should be in the water 2 weeks after getting here...all parts are ready and waiting for the hull.

I'm getting my numbers from 3 people....1 has a RR (116 MPH) with the motor on it the other has a 19 Cougar (108 MPH) My brother has a 21 Liberator with Smartcraft ( 105 MPH ) all with the same power........ALL are at the 4-5 range.

I hope you're right 8 to 10 sound great to me . FYI my twin 300xs Smartcraft gets 3.4 most of the time. ( which is running in the 90 to 110 range most of time )

Those were taken at Lake Powell...........Yes it varies about 100 ft up or down...But it's still 500' deep in spots when it's low.

to be real honest I can't stomach the color scheme and really hate the odd out of place triangle on the nose the most... however to each his own, it sounds like it will be rigged great and setup to run some serious numbers... should be good for mid 1teens for sure good luck and be safe.

Yes Jack added Fairing to the rear hatch.......he also removed the (hump) in seat/back area so someone can sit in the middle without sitting on the hump ......he also lowered the very top/back area of the seat that sticks up above the gunnels from 3's down to 1"

Also I didn't take picture of it....but on Bully's boat Jack built a nice glove box with aluminun door on the left side up by the driver seat under the deck......that I liked

the structure that you are using in the STV, for what purpose is?.. is it a drag or a conventional race mod...how much does it weight??.. thanks man!

Bully , let us know how that works for you .

couple of questions in one of the pics there is a plate that is bolted to the port side rear sponson... what is that? Where are you planning on going with that much fuel? Holy crap!! Nice rigging

The step is a place to put your foot to get back in the boat from the water. Where I launch in AZ I can and do run 150 to 200 miles in a day quite often ( Bullhead City to Parker Dam ) and I don't like to get fuel on the water unless it's an emergency.

I got the same question as Chummy, and I don't think he was asking about the step either.

What is the plate that is bolted on?

I noticed the bolts and nuts from the inside picture first, and then saw the plate in another picture. Now I can't find either one of the pics.

As the temp goes up,the color of the water changes to assorted colors of green.:D We do the best we can in California to put a boat on fresh water. You guys in the East have alot of good water run to on,here it is mostly resevoirs.that's why Havasu is popular, clean water and at least 60 miles dam to dam.
