What 200 mercury do you have ,and what carbs are on it ? What size main jets where in it that you changed up to 84 ? If this motor is stock , you shouldn't have had to changed the main jetting on it much , if any .

I've never got one so rich , you could smell gas ,and it would still run .

Tha mods and changes you have done are no big deal ,Some times fuel will drip out when an engine is trimmed up or maybe a float is stuck ?

1994 200 had wmh-35's on it and stock jett'in for tha mains wuz .066 for #1 &2, and .064 for 3,4,5,& 6.....If U got 80's in tha mains, it will not run over around 2800-3200 rpm!!!

I have a 225 promax here rite now that sumbody BS'd tha guy that he had 245 carbs, and he jetted tha carbs wit .078's in tha mainz...It would NOT run!!....I rejetted to stock 200 jets, and it ran like it's poz'd to....Yes, stock 200 jett'in on a 225!!!......a 225 ain't nutt'in but a 14 peddle 200, and 14 peddle front din't warrant bigger jets, kuz it never git's to the rpm wher it needs bigger jets!!!....JMO
